A collection of fine art photography of gargoyles exploring their  historic role in

architecture, public buildings and cathedrals.

These 6 gargoyles are at the old headquarters of the Philadelphia Fire Department at 1328 Race Street Philadelphia, PA. The building served as fire department headquarters from 1926-1976 as well as housing Engine Co. #17,  Pipeline #5, Truck Co. #23 and Heavy Rescue #1. The Fire Department moved its headquarters to Spring Garden St. in 1976 and this building is now used by the Philadelphia Police Department.
